She starred in the first season of the television series Big Wolf on Campus (1999) and had recurring roles in What About Brian (2006), Boston Legal (2008), Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002), Hatley High (2003), Noel (2004), Head in the Clouds (2004), Charmed (2003), Life on a Stick (2005) and Swingtown (2008).
She played the vampire Victoria in the first two films of the Twilight saga (2008; 2009; 2012).
In 2011, she starred in the ABC medical drama Off the Map, followed by the CBS series A Gifted Man (2011–2012) and Under the Dome (2013–2015), and Mary Kills People (2018).
In 2019, she starred in the FOX legal series Proven Innocent, The Sounds (2020), Moriah's Lighthouse and The Secrets of Bella Vista (both in 2022), Holidazed (2024), Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent (2025).
