Peter John Purves is an English television presenter and actor.
Beginning his career as an actor, he joined Doctor Who (1965-1966) to play Steven Taylor, a companion of the First Doctor.
In 1967 until 1978, he became a presenter on the children's programme Blue Peter, where he remained for eleven years. He has continued to make appearances on TV, including coverage of the Crufts (1978–2019) dog show.
He also appeared in other TV programmes and shows, such as : Blue Peter Special Assignment (1977–1981), Stopwatch (40 episodes, 1978–1981), We're Going Places (23 episodes, 1978–1980), Kick Start (1981–1992), The Office (2001), Antiques Roadshow (2019), This Morning (2020), Pointless Celebrities (2013-2022), Tales of the TARDIS (2023).
The photo is in good condition, comes with COA and would make a nice addition to any collection. The item obtained in London 8th June 2025.
