Patrick Joseph Wilson is an American actor. He began his career in 1995, starring in Broadway musicals.
He received nominations for two Tony Awards for his roles in The Full Monty (2000–2001) and Oklahoma! (2002). He co-starred in the HBO miniseries Angels in America (2003), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.
Wilson appeared in films such as The Alamo (2004), The Phantom of the Opera (2004), Hard Candy (2005), Little Children and Running with Scissors (both in 2006), Purple Violets (2007), Lakeview Terrace (2008), Watchmen (2009), and The A-Team (2010), Ant-Man and Bone Tomahawk (both in 2014),
He gained wider recognition for his starring role in the Insidious film series (2010–2023) and as Ed Warren in The Conjuring universe (2013–present), earning him a Scream king title. In 2016, he co-starred in biopic The Founder, in action thriller The Commuter (2018).
He had a voice roles in : American Dad! (2009), Teen Titans Go! and Little Demon (both in 2022).
