Nicholas Brendon Schultz (April 12, 1971 – March 20, 2026) was an American actor, artist, and writer. 

He is best known for playing Xander Harris in the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997–2003) and Kevin Lynch in Criminal Minds (2007–2014).

In 2003, Brendon joined the cast of The Pool at Maddy Breakers. In 2004, he co-starred in the Family film Celeste in the City. The following year, he was cast of Kitchen Confidential (2005-2006).

In 2006, he had a recurring role as a voice actor in the animated series American Dragon: Jake Long and in the ABC Family film Relative Chaos. 

Also in 2010, Brendon appeared in Private Practice as Lee McHenry (2010-2011) and in Faking It as Jackson Lee (2014-2015).

Brendon continued to work steadily as an actor, with recurring roles on television and starring roles in independent films such as Coherence and Big Gay Love (both 2013). 

He also appeared in : Married... with Children (1993), Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest and Dave's World (both in 2005), Psycho Beach Party (2000), Demon Island (2002), Relative Chaos (2006), Unholy and Fire Serpent (both in 2007), Blood on the Highway (2008), Without a Trace and A Golden Christmas (both in 2009),  The Portal (2010), Hollywood Heights (2012), Attack of the Morningside Monster (2014), Redwood (2017), King of Crime (2018), Dark/Web (2019) and Yesterday Is Almost Here (2024).

He also pursued visual art, exhibiting and selling his paintings and photography.
