Adam Marcus is an American film director, writer and actor. In 1993  Marcus wrote the story for and directed Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday, the ninth instalment in the Friday the 13th franchise, for New Line Cinema. In 1998, he directed the independently financed comedy film Let It Snow (also known as Snow Days).

In 2008, Marcus directed the feature film Conspiracy for Sony Pictures, which he co-wrote with Sullivan. The film, shot in Santa Fe, New Mexico, starred Val Kilmer, Jennifer Esposito and Gary Cole. The following year, Marcus appeared in the documentary His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th, offering commentary on the franchise.

In 2013, Marcus co-wrote Texas Chainsaw 3D, a sequel to The The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974) with Sullivan and Kirsten Elms. He also co-wrote Cabin Fever: Outbreak with Sullivan and was involved in directing and co-writing The Plantation, an adaptation of Val Lewton’s RKO classic I Walked with a Zombie.

Marcus is writer, director and producer of Secret Santa (2018) and writer and producer of Hearts Of Darkness: The Making Of The Final Friday which will come out in 2025.
